Closed areas: Accommodation closed until further notice
Due to the NSW Government’s public health orders for COVID-19, all NPWS campgrounds and accommodation in are closed until further notice. Greater Sydney includes areas like the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour. Read more on our COVID-19 update webpage.
Closed areas: Wattamolla Road and beach precinct closed
Wattamolla Beach precinct, including Wattamolla Road, is closed to vehicles from Tuesday 3 August and will re-open Friday 6 August 2021.
All other areas of Royal National Park remain open to vehicles. The Coast track remains open to walkers.

Closed areas: Closed areas for pest animal management program
Some areas of Royal National Park will be closed to the public between sunset and sunrise to enable pest animal management programs to be carried out.
These closures will be signposted at the entry points to the closed areas.
The affected areas include:
- Audley Precinct
- Asset protection zones adjacent to Maianbar, Bundeena and East Heathcote
- Wattamolla and Garie picnic areas
- North Era campground
- Garrawarra Farm
- Lady Carrington Drive

Closed areas: Wattamolla lower loop carpark and picnic area closed
The Lower Loop carpark and picnic area are closed for upgrades until October 2021. Access through Wattamolla for the Royal Coast track will be available and signposted. Access to the beach, amenities building, upper carpark areas and Providential Point will remain open.
Large vehicles and buses over 8.8 metres cannot access Wattamolla. Buses should not enter Wattamolla Road from Sir Bertram Stevens Drive. There is no safe area to park or manoeuvre at Wattamolla or along Wattamolla Road. All other vehicles can enter Wattamolla and park in carparks numbers 2 to 5 (parking is limited during peak periods).

Closed areas: Bonnie Vale campground
Bonnie Vale campground is currently closed to allow for the remediation of asbestos containing material surfacing onsite. It will remain closed until further notice.

Bonnie Vale picnic area and Bonnie Vale boat ramp are open and safe for visitors.
Safety alerts: Mount Royal and Cassels Road 4WD vehicles only
Mount Royal and Cassels Road is only suitable for 4WD vehicles because recent rain has made the road very slippery. Please drive carefully and be aware of the road conditions.

Youngville campground is closed for upgrade works from Monday 26 July to Friday 17 September 2021.
