You can find here a large collection of my favourite hikes in NSW (with a few extra ones in Tasmania). This is not a database of hikes or a guide. Just a log of places that I enjoy visiting.
The gps logs may show times longer than usual. Is it because I’m very old and slow? I hope not. It is mostly because I like to enjoy nature, I like to stop and look at things around me, breathe the air and listen to bubbling creeks and singing birds. I don’t treat hikes as exercise or a race. Sometimes I walk with kids and let them explore, pick stones, sticks or chase bugs. All gps logs on this site will show you the real-time it actually takes to do a hike while enjoying it.
If you find something useful here please don’t be a stranger and leave a comment. If you have some questions you can reach me on olo@polas.net
